Andrew became an Associate of the Law Costs Draftsmen in 2002, becoming a Fellow in 2004 and qualified as a Costs Lawyer with rights of audience in 2007. Andrew is an accredited CLSB (Costs Lawyers Standards Board) trainer providing training to colleagues and clients. Andrew is also an accredited Mediator.

Andrew initially worked in-house for a leading Legal 500 firm in Devon and Cornwall before joining Johnson and Johnson Costs Draftsmen in 2001. In late 2014, Johnson and Johnson became part of the Kain Knight group of companies.

Andrew specialises in Civil Litigation for both Receiving and Paying Party representing clients in Clinical Negligence, Professional Negligence, Inheritance, Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustee cases as well as proceedings before the Arbitrator and the Lands Tribunal.

Andrew also has extensive experience in relation to Private and Public Law family matters.

Andrew is particularly interested in the role of Mediation within Legal Costs. He is of the view it will become a vital component considering the present timescales that the Court is adhering to, to complete the Assessment procedure.
