Matthew graduated with a 2:1 in Law from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University. He has been a barrister and a member of Kings Chambers since 1992. He has substantial experience of litigation. He trained as a mediator in 2012.
Matthew practises predominantly in costs. He has successfully completed all of the courses and examinations of a Costs Lawyer and is a member of the education sub-committee of the Association of Costs Lawyers. He is ranked in Chambers & Partners Band 2 Northern (Bar), Costs Litigation:
